Stream Recycling
All recyclables may be placed in
one single container curbside on your collection day.
Items that may be placed in one single container for recycling include, but are not limited to: Newspapers, junk mail, magazines, cardboard, telephone books,paperback books, dry food boxes, wrapping paper, clean pizza boxes that contain no food products, plastic food and beverage containers, plastic buckets and landscape pots, clear and green glass bottles and containers, brown bottles, cans made of tin, steel, or aluminum. Please rinse food containers before recycling.
The following should not be included in the recycling program: anything containing hazardous materials, wax-coated cardboard boxes, food contaminated materials, styrofoam, polystyrene egg cartons, window glass, beverage cups, paint cans, PVC pipes, light bulbs, and plastic bags. These items should be placed in the trash.

Avalon's Public Works Yard is open every day except Thanksgiving and Christmas for drop off of trash and recycling.
Avalon's trash and recycling center is located at the Avalon Public Works Yard’s 15th Street entrance (between Dune Drive and First Ave). Trash and recycling can be dropped off every day from 7:00 am until 3:00 pm.
